According to Brandywine Student Unmet Financial Need Survey:
- 50 percent of our student population met the criteria.
- 63 percent of students who responded skip meals because they do not have enough money.
- 87.65 percent of students are responsible for feeding and/or financially supporting themselves.
- 26 percent of students leave after their first year at Penn State Brandywine, and additional students do not return after their sophomore or junior years.
- 78 percent of the students who leave Penn State Brandywine are succeeding academically but face financial concerns.
Your gift to SOCKTOBER and Penn State Brandywine would help support these students. Gifts to Penn State Brandywine will support students who are dealing with homelessness or housing insecurities, unemployment, unexpected medical bills and more. Your gift will directly support a student in need as they continue on their journey to achieving the American dream of earning a college degree.
